About Your Reservation
Negotiable documents for each prepaid component of each Amtrak Vacations package are enclosed in an Amtrak Vacations Document Holder along with a Welcome Letter outlining the components listed below.
Transfers
Pick up information and Transfer Company telephone number are located on the bottom of Airport/Rail/Cruise Terminal transfer vouchers. Return transfers must be reconfirmed by calling the Transfer Company.
Hotel
Hotel vouchers must be presented at time of check in. The voucher covers the indicated room accommodations and all taxes for the number of nights booked. Most hotels require a credit card upon check-in. If a special request has been made, such as a low floor or king bed, this request should be re-iterated at time of check in. If any problems arise the Front Desk Manager should be able resolve them at this time. Check-out time in most hotels is 12:00 noon; check-in times may vary from 1 to 4 P.M., depending upon the hotel. Baggage may be held at Hotel in the event of an early arrival. Parking at hotel is not included in any package.
Rental Car
Rental Company information is included on a car rental voucher. The car is reserved for the dates on the voucher only. The package includes car rental only; all additional fees and taxes are subject to collection at drop off and can be up to 20% of rental price (subject to change). Authorized driver must be at least 25 years of age and present a valid credit card and driver license at time of rental car pick up.
Meals
Most restaurants require reservations at least 48 hours prior to desired dining date. The restaurant address and reservation phone number are printed on the voucher.
Sightseeing & Attractions
If a sightseeing tour/attraction is included in a package, the tour/attraction information, times, and contact phone numbers are printed on the bottom of the voucher.
Rail
One train ticket will cover your entire party. The ticket will be issued under one lead name and will indicate the number of people traveling.
***IMPORTANT***
Please arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time. If you are taking the Auto Train, you must arrive at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
Air
Flight schedules should be reconfirmed with the airline prior to departure date.
Cancellation Waiver
If a cancellation waiver and trip interruption insurance has been purchased from Amtrak Vacations, a brochure containing terms and conditions will be enclosed with travel documents.
